Terms of Service

1. What CeaseFire is
CeaseFire is a document preparation service. We help everyday people draft a cease and desist letter and, with the involvement of a licensed attorney, deliver a signed letter to a recipient. We are not your law firm and we do not enter into an attorney-client relationship with you for ongoing representation.
2. Scope of services
For a one-time per-letter fee, CeaseFire will (a) collect your intake, (b) draft a letter, (c) submit it for review by a licensed attorney, (d) on attorney approval, e-sign the letter on the attorney's letterhead, and (e) deliver it via the channel you select. We do not provide advice on your underlying legal claim, litigation strategy, court filings, or anything outside the four corners of the letter you ordered.
3. No guarantee of outcome
A cease-and-desist letter is a demand. It is not a court order. The recipient may comply, ignore, or respond adversely. CeaseFire does not guarantee any specific outcome. If you require enforcement, we can refer you to qualified counsel; the engagement and fees with that counsel are between you and them.
4. Refund policy
If the reviewing attorney declines to sign your letter for any reason, we will issue a full refund. If you cancel your case before the attorney begins review, we will issue a full refund. After the attorney has applied their signature, the work is complete and the fee is final.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate, truthful information in your intake. Submitting fabricated facts, forged documents, or knowingly false statements is a breach of these Terms and may expose you to liability — both civil and, in some jurisdictions, criminal. The attorney reserves the right to decline any case at their sole discretion.
6. Jurisdiction
CeaseFire currently operates in Florida. Disputes arising from these Terms will be governed by the laws of Florida without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised “Last updated” date and, where the change is material, send registered users an email.
